Women's team step up preparations ahead of exciting season
The ladies begin their pre-season campaign this weekend
SD Eibar Women's first team, who returned for pre-season training last week, are upping their preparations ahead of an exciting campaign that they head into with lofty ambitions.
With new coach Xuban Peña at the helm and new coordinator of women's football, Ion Zabaleta, in place, this weekend sees the Armeras face their first pre-season run-out.
Their opening workout comes against CA Osasuna at the Unbe Sports Complex, Eibar.. The encounter kicks off at 18:00 and will see a number of the club's new additions make their debuts.
Once again Eibar will this season take their place in Group 2 of the Women's Second Division, which gets underway on 3 September. Their league opener sees the Armeras travel to Bilbao to take on San Ignacio. The side's first home fixture will be on 10 September, with Añorga the visitors.

12 August Three-team tournament between Eibar, CA Osasuna and Parquesol at Unbe. 17:00
16 August Añorga KE v Eibar 20:00
19 August Three-team tournament between Osasuna, Ardoi and Eibar at Tajonar 11:00
23 August Zarautz KE v Eibar. Venue and kick-off time TBC
26 August SD Eibar v Goierri Gorri at Beasain. 18:00
