SD Eibar’s Adapted Football department is a leading force in promoting inclusive sport, offering real opportunities for participation, development and competition to people with different abilities.
The programme currently comprises two teams that embody the values of hard work, overcoming challenges and equality that define the Foundation:
PC Team (Cerebral palsy)
The PC team is made up of male and female players with cerebral palsy or acquired brain injury. It competes in the FEDPC National 7-a-side Football League First Division, one of the top-level competitions in adapted football in Spain.
In the 2025–2026 season, the team were once again crowned National League champions, building on their successful run following the titles won in the 2022–23 and 2024–25 seasons. This achievement reaffirms their high competitive standard and the excellent work carried out by the squad.
Furthermore, the team has a strong presence in the senior national team, with six players currently called up, reflecting the talent and sporting potential of the project.
The team comprises 20 men and 2 women, and has a coaching staff of four professionals.
Genuine League Team
The Liga Genuine team is made up of male and female players with intellectual disabilities. It takes part in the competition organised by LaLiga Genuine, a pioneering project that promotes inclusion through football.
The team comprises 28 men and 2 women, and has a coaching staff of four, forming a diverse, committed and constantly growing group.
Technical Team
The adapted football section at SD Eibar Fundazioa is led by a team committed to the development of the project:
- Ander Romarate, Head of Adapted Football
- Andoni Igartua, Head Coach of the PC team
- José Santa Inés, Head Coach of the Genuine team
Their day-to-day work is key to establishing an inclusive, competitive sporting model that sets the standard at national level.
