The SD Eibar Foundation’s Environmental Plan is one of the key strategic priorities within its commitment to sustainability and environmental responsibility. Its aim is to define, organise and promote a set of actions and measures designed to mitigate, rectify and offset the environmental impacts arising from the club’s activities.

Within this framework, the Foundation is working on the implementation of its First Environmental Plan, a roadmap that will enable it to consolidate structured and sustainable environmental policies in the medium and long term.

Waste management and the circular economy

During the 2025–2026 season, the Foundation is actively collaborating with the Debabarrena Association of Municipalities to improve separate waste collection systems, both at Ipurua and at the Annex Ground, as well as at the future Sports Complex. This joint effort aims to promote responsible habits, improve waste separation and move towards a more efficient and sustainable model.

Sustainability in infrastructure

Sustainability has been a key consideration in the design and construction of the new Sports Complex, incorporating solutions that reduce environmental impact and promote the efficient use of resources. This approach reinforces the club’s commitment to an environmentally responsible development model.

Environmental awareness and education

In the field of education, the Foundation is once again collaborating this season with the Basque Government’s Aztertur organisation, carrying out environmental awareness activities at the 2026 Summer Campus. These initiatives help to introduce children to the values of sustainability, caring for the environment, and individual and collective responsibility.

Key Areas of the Environmental Plan

The Plan is structured around three main areas of action:

• Carbon footprint offsetting, by measuring and reducing the environmental impact of the club’s activities.
• Energy efficiency, by promoting the responsible use of energy across all SD Eibar’s facilities.
• Sustainability of the Sports Complex, by integrating environmental criteria into the management and operation of the new facilities.

With this plan, the Foundation reinforces its commitment to the environment and to the sustainable development of the local area, making sustainability a cross-cutting priority across all its areas of activity.
