SD Eibar release thermo-adhesive rainbow patch for sale
The initiative is part of the club's campaign in support of sexual diversity
To mark the 2017 LGBT Pride Week, SD Eibar are selling thermo-adhesive rainbow patches, which are available for purchase online at a cost of €10.
During the course of this week, the SD Eibar Foundation has launched a social media campaign using the hashtag #LoveIsLove and #OrgullososDeNuestrosColores (Proud of our colours), which feature photos of Dani García and Ainhoa Alonso - the captains of the men's and women's first teams - in an effort to raise awareness about such an important event in a society as diverse as our own.
Through this initiative, the SD Eibar Foundation is seeking to send a clear message to those who are subject to discrimination on account of their gender or sexual identity on a daily basis: You're not alone and the club will always offer its support.
In a display of the club's committment to this battle, Eibar have launched a limited edition "LoveIsLove" thermo-adhesive patch, which is available for €10 via www.sdeibar.com/loveislove. Meanwhile, the patch can also be purchased along with the rest of the range of merchandise at the club's online shop at www.eibarstore.com
All profits from the sale of the patches will go towards the campaigns to be led by the SD Eibar Foundation over the course of the year in their efforts to promote diversity, support LGBT groups and the fight against homophobia in sport.
