Mendilibar: It doesn't matter who I go with because whoever I play will do a good job

The Armeros' boss has named all 20 available players in his squad list, including Jovanović

José Luis Mendilibar today insisted that he wasn't surprised by the strong performances from the less regular starters he fielded in the team's last league outing, declaring that "They're all in good shape, it doesn't matter who I go with because whoever I play will do a good job".

The Armeros' boss has named all 20 available players in his squad list for tomorrow's game against Sevilla FC (Ipurua, 13:00 CET kick-off), including Serbian defender Vukašin Jovanović, who was unveiled yesterday. Meanwhile, Fran Rico, Pedro León, Sergi Enrich and Paulo Oliveira all miss out through injury.

On tomorrow's opponents, Mendilibar warned that "They've got a lot of good players and a squad that's capable of playing every Wednesday and Sunday. They're a side that has ambitions of qualifying for the Champions League and they'll be looking to come here and get the three points".

"They had a tough January, with league and Copa del Rey games, and I think that'll work against them a bit. If we're able to impose a high tempo and press them right from the off, I think that they'll struggle".

When asked about Jovanović, Mendilibar revealed that "He's more one for the future, I still don't know him all that well". "It's a good deal for us because he comes here on loan with the option for the club to buy him and it means we don't lose anything and it gives us the chance to get to know him. He's played in Russia and France, and despite his age (21 years old), he offers us good experience".

In terms of his assessment of the business done by Eibar in the recently closed winter transfer window, Mendilibar stated that it was a positive window for the club. "Those who wanted to leave are no longer here and have gone where they wanted to. Of those players that have come in, two of them are already making a contribution and we hope that the same will be true of our third signing".
