Mendilibar: "If we go there and are sure about what we have to do, we'll have a chance of winning or getting something from the game"

The Armeros' boss revealed that his squad will feature all 18 available players

José Luis Mendilibar today addressed the press in the media room at Ipurua to preview Sunday's trip to Valencia CF.

When asked about the key to the encounter, the Armeros' chief commented that "In today's video session, I told the players that whilst it's useful to know about the opposition and look at their strengths and weaknesses, it's all about what we do. We have to go there and be sure of ourselves. If we head there thinking that our job is done, we won't have much of a chance of winning because they're a great side. "If we go there and are sure about what we have to do, we'll have a chance of winning or getting something from the game".

Mendilibar was also asked about the team's targets in the remaining four games and whether the main aim is now to finish the season as the highest-ranked Basque club. "The objective continues to be about the next game. I would prefer us to finish as the lowest-placed Basque team but end the season in eighth or ninth, rather than finishing top of the Basque sides and ending the campaign in 13th spot. I would like us to finish in the top half".

The Eibar coach also revealed the make-up of his squad for the encounter: "We've got 18 available players. Fran (Rico), Sergi (Enrich), Iván (Ramis) and Anaitz (Arbilla) are still out injured, Charles is suspended and one of the three goalkeepers will be left out. Let's just hope that nobody gets injured in tomorrow's training session".
