The SD Eibar Foundation will bring an International Legends Tournament to Areitio.
It will be held on November 29 in collaboration with the United Nations Football Club (FC ONU), LaLiga, and the Mallabia City Council.
The SD Eibar Fundazioa, together with the United Nations Football Club (FC ONU), LaLiga, and the Mallabia City Council, will celebrate the fourth edition of the Football Legends Trophy Against Racism and Discrimination on November 29, 2025, an international senior football tournament that reinforces the commitment of sports to inclusion, respect, and the fight against racism. Participants will include: SD Eibar, FC ONU, Athletic Club, and Real Sociedad.
This fourth edition will be especially significant as it will be held for the first time at the Ciudad Deportiva de Areitio, the new home of SD Eibar. A strategic asset that marks a milestone in the club's evolution and is projected as a new center of social, sports, and economic activity for the area. The tournament will thus become one of the first major events at the facility, which will soon celebrate its official inauguration.
The choice of Areitio reaffirms the goal of the armero club to open these facilities to the community and turn them into a true local engine, while also strengthening Eibar's role, both in its sporting and social dimensions, as an active agent in the region.
An international tournament with a strong track record
The Football Legends Trophy was born in 2016 in Geneva, promoted by FC ONU in collaboration with SD Eibar, the Stade Nyonnais of Switzerland, and UEFA. After the 2018 editions, which saw the support of LaLiga, and 2019, which was held in Tunisia, the tournament has been consolidated as an awareness initiative around respect, inclusion, and the fight against racism.
