Matheus: "We're going to Tenerife to play a final and we have to get the three points"

The Eibar midfielder stresses that "what's going to make the difference in this final stretch is our heads and mentally we're very strong"

Matheus Pereira has declared that Eibar will travel to Tenerife this weekend "to play a final and we have to get the three points".

Speaking in a press conference following today's training session at Ipurua, the Brazilian midfielder insisted that, "as well as playing and winning games, what's going to make the difference in this final stretch of the season is our heads, how we face the challenges, and we're very strong mentally".

MATHEUS PEREIRA’S PRESS CONFERENCE QUOTES

“We know that now we have two very complicated games against Tenerife and Andorra, it’s true that Tenerife come from a defeat but they are very dangerous with very good players at home.”

“There are nine games left and it’s the best time of the season with big games with lots of pressure so we have to be ready and treat it like a final.”

“We have a good feeling, we’re playing well. We won our last game 5-1 and we want to keep doing great things and working towards that. The coach gives us a lot of belief and confidence to play and he makes us believe we can get the points we need between now and the end of the season.”

“It’s true that I’ve been looking for that goal for a while, but what matters is that we got the win and now we go to Tenerife for another final and we have to get the three points.”

“This season we are playing better away from home, when we travel we do so with a good feeling because we have a strong team and we are very strong.”
