The coach wants more, explaining that “at this stage of the season, it isn’t enough just to finish games with a good feeling”.

Looking ahead to SD Eibar’s women’s team’s game against Levante UD, Yerai Martin was in a demanding mood in his pre-match press conference, despite facing one of the strongest sides in Liga F. He stated that: “We need to do a lot of things right to put up a good fight, but we’ve learnt a lot from the first game and it’s clear to us that we’re not going to make things easy for Levante.”

Eibar can expect their opponents to be confident, after drawing against FC Barcelona, but the coach of Las Armeras believes his team can “pull off a miracle, whether one or three points”.

The game against Levante is this Sunday at 12:00 at Ipurua, before Las Armeras have two weeks without a league fixture and then several consecutive games against top-of-the-table opponents.

YERAI MARTIN’S PRESS CONFERENCE QUOTES

“At this stage of the season, we have to be demanding as it isn’t enough just to finish games with a good feeling.”

“Our objective is to take points. We have to be calm, but ambitious.”

“On Sunday we face a top-quality opponent. It’ll be a very tough challenge. They’ve just drawn at FC Barcelona, and they won at Real Madrid and at Atlético de Madrid.”

“We need to do a lot of things right to put up a good fight, but we’ve learnt a lot from the first game and it’s clear to us that we’re not going to make things easy for Levante.”

“We know they look after the ball and like to build out from the back, having lots of players in the middle. They are organised and can cross well into the box.”

"We'll see what we find on Sunday. We’re a team that can adapt to anything and we’ll adapt on Sunday to try to take a point or three.”
