Yanis Rahmani: “Each game is vital for us”

The Eibar winger has highlighted that he and his teammates “cannot take a break thinking of the cushion” the Armeros have built up

Yanis Rahmani says “every game is important” for Eibar, and that in the Segunda Division, “there are changes to the table” every week.

In a press conference following a training session at Atxabalpe on Wednesday, the Eibar winger has highlighted that “we cannot trust and take a break thinking that we have a cushion,” with the Armeros taking on fourth-placed Alaves this weekend.

BEAUTIFUL GAME

“It’s going to be a beautiful game, but we approach it the same way we approach all games.

“In this division, there are changes to the table every week because there is not a lot of difference between the teams, and even if you have a small cushion, that can change in two games. Each game is going to be vital for us.”

FAITH IN THE STYLE

“We have to do what we have been doing for many weeks, and because of this we are high up in the table. It’s clear that we have to be careful because they have good players, but we have to look at ourselves and do what we are doing.

“The first half of the season has been good. If we do the same in the second half, things will go well. You can always improve, like scoring more goals, but we are coming into all of the games looking at a win as a minimum.”

TAKING ADVANTAGE OF THE OPPORTUNITY

“I am happy because I am having minutes, and that’s what a player wants. I have waited for my opportunity, and when it has come, I believe I have taken advantage of it. I hope to continue contributing to the team in each game.”

MENDIZORROZA

“When we play at Ipurua, the home pitch factor is key for us, but they are at home, and having their fans is a plus. We are fine away from home, and we won the last game against Ponferradina. We are going there with the idea of winning. It’s going to be a head-to-head match and we are equipped.”
