Having now reached the end of their pre-season campaign, SD Eibar Women are able to reflect on some good performances and fine progress in a pre-season that yielded two wins, a draw and two defeats.

Since the side's first run-out, the performances have improved, whilst the players have increasingly showed signs of gelling and head into the season in good shape.

In their last pre-season outing, which was played on Saturday at Beasain, the Armeras ran out 5-0 winners over Goierri Gorri, with new signing Idoia Agirre grabbing the headlines with a hat-trick for Xuban Peña's side.  Also on target were Ane Aristrain, who set the visitors on their way, and Irantzu Ibarrola.

Eibar opened their pre-season campaign back on 12 August, suffering two 1-0 defeats at the hands of Osasuna and Parquesol in the three-team tournament contested between the sides in Unbe. Since their involvement in this competition, the Armeras have remained unbeaten. On 16 August, the ladies claimed a 3-1 victory over Añorga at Rezola.

Following on from a 1-1 stalemate against Zarautz at Asti, Eibar rounded off their pre-season preparations with Saturday's 5-0 rout over Goierri Gorri.

The team's top goalscorer in pre-season was Agirre, with four goals to her name. Meanwhile, Maitane Basterra, Sara Tazo, Irantzu Ibarrola, Ane Atristrain and Melani Concepción all weighed in with one goal apiece.

This week sees the side face their final training sessions prior to the league opener against San Ignacio in Bilbao this weekend. Meanwhile, Eibar will make their first home outing of the season the following weekend, with Añorga the visitors.
