Update on SD Eibar's injured players
Kike, Peña, Escalante and Etxaburu all suffered injuries yesterday
In line with the information provided by the club's medical department, the current status of the injured members of the SD Eibar squad is as follows:
Kike García: Strain to the left iliopsoas muscle. He will return to training on Tuesday or Wednesday of next week.
Rubén Peña: Contusion to the right iliac crest. He will be sidelined for between five and seven days.
Gonzalo Escalante: Grade one left ankle sprain. He will be sidelined for between five and seven days.
Asier Etxaburu: Infection in a toe on his left foot. He will be sidelined for between three and five days.
Elsewhere, Antonio Luna today came through his second successive training session without any issues and is poised to feature in tomorrow's game against RB Leipzig. Meanwhile, Jota Peleteiro was able to run out on the pitches for the first time since fracturing the proximal phalanx of the fifth toe in his left foot. His recovery will continue to be assessed.
