Four representatives from the Japanese Federation have spent a week in Eibar, getting to knowing the club’s management and its facilities
The Japanese Football Federation has sent a delegation made up of four representatives from the sports and scouting departments to visit SD Eibar, taking a special interest in the club’s sporting model, Eibar being the smallest club of all the five major European leagues, and the only team in Spain, with a Japanese player.
During their week-long stay in Euskadi they have attended training sessions in Atxabalpe, and have held meetings with the sports director, Fran Garagarza, and with the coach, José Luis Mendilibar, showing particular interest in the work routine of the First Team.
Following this, they were greeted at the Ipurua Stadium where the heads of the departments of Marketing, Sales and the Foundation showed them the facilities and explained the recent history of the Club, as well as the challenges for the future, which include increasing awareness and the mass of support for Eibar in Japan.
