Juan Diego Molina, the forward better known as 'Stoichkov', has stated that games like this Sunday’s Granada vs Eibar fixture “are the kind of matches you dream of playing in when you’re a kid”.

Speaking at a press conference on Thursday, following the day’s training session at Ipurua, the Armeros striker stressed that Eibar “are capable of winning there”.

ON HOW BIG A GAME THIS IS

“It's a huge game in which both teams have a lot at stake. Our team has worked well this week and we’re going there with the intention of taking the three points.”

“These are the kind of matches you dream of playing in when you’re a kid, playing in front of atmospheres like this and with this much at stake. At the start of the season, we would have signed up to reach this stage as league leaders and with a point over second place. It’ll be very difficult, and there are teams with bigger budgets and with lots of first division calibre players.”

“We must go there with the intention of winning, looking to make a statement in the standings against a direct rival. We’re going with all the enthusiasm in the world and the desire to take the three points.”

ON EIBAR BEING CLOSE TO WINS

“We are in first place and, while it’s true that we haven’t been able to win these last few games, the team is working well. All the teams around us are finding it hard to win too, but we are getting closer and closer.”

“We want to win at every ground we go to. It’s true that nobody has won in Granada and there must be a reason for that. They’re very strong there, but we’re going to try to take the three points, aware of how difficult the opposition is. I think we are capable of winning there.”

“There are teams that have suffered a lot there, but it's also true that they recently drew against Ponferradina there with a last-minute goal. It's going to be a very complicated away game, but we're going there with the belief of getting the three points.”

ON CUTTING OUT MISTAKES

Scoring goals doesn't worry me too much right now, as I just want to help the team. It's going to be a very difficult game and they'll be thinking the same thing. Whoever makes the fewest mistakes will win the game.”

“The teams at the bottom are also playing for a lot and it's not easy to win in this division. Now maybe you can get a bit more nervous, as any mistake will hurt you a lot. We have to take a step forward because we haven't been at our best in the last few games and we have to take another step forward because we have a lot at stake.”

ON BEING LEADERS

“What I want is to be top of the table on the last matchday. Last year we spent practically the whole year at the top until the last matchday and what I don't want is for that situation to happen again. We have to fight until the end. There aren’t many games left and if you lose one then you can fall behind and it's more difficult to get back, so it's important not to lose to these direct rivals.”
