Sergio Álvarez will remain with Eibar until 2026
The Asturian footballer renews his contract with Eibar for two more seasons
Sergio Álvarez has renewed his contract with Eibar, which was due to expire in June of this year, for a further two seasons, and will remain with the Armeros until 2026.
The Asturian midfielder is now in his sixth season with Eibar, which means that, at the end of his new contract, he will have completed eight seasons at the club.
Sergio Álvarez (Avilés, 1992) came through Sporting's youth academy, where he played in the youth ranks, in the reserve team and in the first team, both in the First and Second Division.
He signed for Eibar in 2018 and since then has played 168 games between league and cup. In total, he has played 428 games as a professional footballer. He was an Under-19 international with the Spanish national team.
He is currently one of the captains of the squad.
