SERGIO ÁLVAREZ’S PRESS CONFERENCE QUOTES

“Sporting was my first home because it’s where I came through. Eibar, without a doubt, is my second home, where I continued to develop as a footballer and as a person. This club has helped me to become the professional I am and the person I am today.”

“I’m very grateful to Eibar for this latest renewal, this confirmation of the confidence they have in me. I can only thank them through my work, my commitment and my professionalism. Renewing my contract is another incentive to keep working hard.”

“My sporting dream at the moment is to return to the first division again with Eibar, and that’s what I'm working for.”

“It’s very motivating to play against the best teams, especially in direct duels. We have to try to get a good result because it’s a very even division.”

“We believe we can be the best and now is the time to give our best and take that little step forward.”

“For us, every season is an opportunity to give the best version of ourselves, to evolve, to develop. Each person does what they can each day.”

“The team is hungry. We have learnt a bit from the mistakes we made in the first half of the season. I think we are a great squad, a well-balanced team and that the coaching staff is working well.”

“All the opponents we face respect us, but that doesn't mean we can relax or get too confident.”
