During the announcement the importance of bringing the Club closer to its shareholders and international Supporters clubs was stressed “The United States is one of the countries that at the time collaborated intensely in the capital increase of 2014 and, for this, we are delighted to be able to travel there and to get to know all those people who supported Eibar. In addition to this, Eibar has the PEÑA EIBAR USA in America, an association of friends that follow the team very actively and with who we hope to get together on our trip there” Baqué confirmed.

Furthermore, Eibar has been in contact with the Basque Government to establish contact with the diaspora Eibarresa and Basque in general. “The response so far is very positive as we are receiving proposals for encounters with friends and followers of Eibar from both Las Vegas and New York. It represents a HISTORICAL AND EXCITING opportunity, one that SD Eibar can’t afford to miss and wants to make the most of” said Gema Baqué in closing.

Fran Garagarza, Sports Director, explained the technical details of the trip “From a sporting point of view the Tour represents an opportunity to continue training for a couple of weeks after the end of the season, which was something the mister and the coaching staff had wanted. Aside from the institutional relevance, it is also important that the team opens new sporting frontiers and internationalises”.

Garagarza confirmed the intention to undertake pre-season training abroad, if the conditions required by the coaching staff can be met “it is important for the team and the Club, whenever possible, because this way we get to know other international markets and we can see other ways of working”.
