SD Eibar transfers Keko Gontán to Málaga CF
SD Eibar wishes to thank, and will not forget, the player’s efforts during his season with the club.
Sporting Director, Fran Garagarza had previously stated publicly, “Keko has told me he wants to leave”, so that it was only a question of time before both teams, SD Eibar and Málaga CF, reached an agreement over the player. In the end, that is what has occurred – the player has completed his move this afternoon and now forms part of the squad of Málaga CF.
Sergio Gotán Gallardo, Keko, came to Eibar from Albacete as a free agent in the summer of 2015. Great things were expected of the player, which is how it proved to be. After a winter transfer market that was unsettling for the player, with offers from various clubs, he finished a magnificent season with SD Eibar achieving the main objective, which was to keep its place in the First Division. Keko has played a total of 2,316 minutes in Eibar’s colours, during which he scored three times.
SD Eibar wish to thank the player from Brunete, near Madrid, for his tremendous work during the time he was with Eibar. The Club will not forget his efforts, not his qualities as a person, and a good team-mate, who has formed part of the team since the day he first arrived in the city of the armeros.
