SD Eibar & the International Football Business Institute sign collaboration agreement

The institution's teaching staff and students have spent the past two days at Ipurua

As a part of their commitment to the promotion of training, SD Eibar and the International Football Business Institute (IFBI) have signed a collaboration agreement which will see the club and the Brusells-based university share knowledge over the course of the coming year.

The IFBI, which is located in Brussels, is a leading higher education institution that offers training in the management of sporting organisations. After showing an interest in Eibar's management model, the institution's leaders were keen for the Armeros' staff to become involved in the training of its students.

Teaching staff and students have spent the past two days in Eibar, where they have gained a first-hand insight into the day-to-day running of the club, its facilities and working methodology. The visitors also attended a talk given by SD Eibar's managing director, Patricia Rodríguez, who offered details of where the club's current endeavours lie.

"We've been working on ways to strengthen our leadership values. We've focused on maintaining the club's solvency, whilst looking for ways to grow and innovate within the football industry. We've contributed to the promotion of education and culture within our local area and have raised its profile, whilst constantly being involved in social outreach activities. We've shown a flexibility and an ability to adapt to the different environments and situations that we've come across", declared Rodríguez.

The IFBI students expressed their surprise at seeing how such a small, humble club is able to compete with opponents with much greater potential. "It's true that we're a small club that's surrounded by some massive clubs, but that doesn't bother us because we're very clear about our values and who we are. We're honest, transparent, hard-working and our team never gives up", she insisted.
