SD EIBAR sign partnership agreement with UD Logroñés for the next three seasons

Eibar are set to send a minimum of three and a maximum of six players out on loan to the Logroño-based outfit.

Wednesday morning saw club president, Amaia Gorostiza, take her place alongside director of football, Fran Garagarza, at a press conference held to unveil the partnership agreement signed with Unión Deportiva Logroñés. Also in attendance at the ceremony, at which the partnership was signed, was the vice-president of Unión Deportiva Logroñés.

SD Eibar president, Amaia Gorostiza, sought to underline the importance of the partnership agreement: "As you are aware, one of our main objectives is for Eibar to be represented throughout clubs playing across all levels that are located in close proximity to us. With the team being in the top tier, we have to make sure that we've got a presence at all levels and this agreement seeks to strengthen Unión Deportiva Logroñés from top to bottom to help them to achieve their aim: GAINING PROMOTION TO THE SECOND TIER".

Gorostiza went on to stress the importance of broadening the club's horizons with a view to raising awareness of the Eibar brand: "Logroño has an approximate population of 170,000 and 320,000 people live within the province, each of these individuals represent an opportunity for us to give them a first-hand feel for the Eibar brand, our values and identity. We hope that this link-up will see us build upon the partnerships we have with our new sponsors, and why not, attract new fans to Eibar".

The club's director of football, Fran Garagarza, echoed the president in highlighting the opportunities that this link-up offers the club: "It's a great opportunity and is very good news. It's a three-year partnership and we're optimistic that it will provide SD Eibar with a platform that the club doesn't currently have. It's an attractive challenge and one that we're going to be putting our all into". This agreement will see Eibar benefit from having a club to whom they can loan players out to, with the option of recalling them in the winter transfer window.

Juanjo Guerreros, vice-president of Unión Deportiva Logroñés, expressed his satisfaction at the opportunity to work with Eibar: "This is a highly sought-after partnership in our quest to gain promotion to Liga2. We feel very comfortable working with SD Eibar and we trust that it'll be a partnership which proves to be beneficial to both parties; for Eibar it'll be a chance for them to improve their scouting network and we at Unión Deportiva are going to try to help SD Eibar take root in the La Rioja region".
