SD Eibar & Puma extend agreement

The sports brand and the Armeros have announced an extension to the deal initially signed in the 2015/16 campaign.

Two years on from the start of their relationship, PUMA and SD EIBAR have renewed their ties, with the designs of the new kits set to be released in the near future, which will include the club's official leisure and training wear.

This agreement sees PUMA continue to act as SD EIBAR's technical partner and sees both parties build on a relationship which has proved to be highly satisfactory.

SD EIBAR president, Amaia Gorostiza, declared: "We're delighted to be renewing our deal with a brand as prestigious as PUMA. We hope that this deal remains in place for many years to come and that we continue to enjoy many successes together" .

Meanwhile, Javier Ortega, PUMA's general manager for the south of Europe, stated that: "The last two seasons have been really positive and we're delighted to be renewing our deal with a club that is a role model in terms of footballing management. We at PUMA wish to continue supporting this historic and iconic club".

SD EIBAR

Founded in 1940, Sociedad Deportiva Eibar is a football club which throughout its long history has played in all divisions of Spanish football, from the regional leagues right through to Primera División. The most significant on-field landmarks in the club's history include the 18-year period spent in Segunda División (1988-2006, representing a second-tier record) and promotion to Primera División in the 2013/14 campaign, where the club currently competes. In 2014, the club found itself forced to undergo a capital increase in order to remain in the professional football ranks, with a novel marketing campaign that secured 10,000 shareholders in over 70 countries bringing the club international recognition.  Eibar play their home matches at the 7,087-capacity Ipurua stadium, whilst the team train at the Atxabalpe Training Ground in the town of Mondragón. The club also boasts a women's team that plays in the Segunda División Nacional and its academy set-up includes seven men's teams and two women's sides, in addition to the club's Football Academy.
