SD Eibar overcomes and prevails Alavés in the final moments (2-1)

A goal by Diop in injury time completes comeback in the Basque derby

SD Eibar has imposed a vibrant shock on Alavés in the eleventh game of the league in vibrant shock. The gunsmiths have been forced to overcome an early goal and have made their three points in the final moments. The team of Mendilibar had to sweat a lot to finish up flipping the score. Jordán and Diop have been responsible for bringing the goals of Victory.

The match soon turned uphill after Alavés took advantage of a free kick to get ahead. The goal, however, was not free of controversy since the referee had to use the VAR to validate the goal of Manu García. However, the team did not rest down and had continued wanting to deploy its usual game.

Minutes later another momentous move had arrived in the course of the crash. And is that Duarte was sent off with a red card after knocking down Jordán in an obvious play of goal. Orellana had been in charge of throwing the foul that had crossed with the stick.

In the resume of the second half, those of Mendilibar had pushed for goal insistently. Thus, in minute 68 Jordan has managed to beat Sivera with a zapatazo from the front of the penalty area. The goal of the Catalan levelled the tie. Minutes before that, the Eibar team had remained with player less after expulsion of De Blasis (also consulted by the VAR).

With both the equalizer and both teams with ten players on the field, the clash had opened and both teams did have chances to get ahead. However, at the end of the regulation time the score line was still equal. Just then Orellana took a new corner in favour of the team. The cross to the first post was perfectly headed by Pape, working a comeback that was very difficult at the beginning of the match.
