SD Eibar host corporate event to mark visit of Japanese ambassador
To coincide with the visit of the Japanese ambassador to Spain, Masashi Mizukami, SD Eibar played host to a corporate event which brought together over 20 individuals from within the Basque Country's business community, including leading companies from across the region who hold commercial interests in the Asian nation.
Mizukami was accompanied throughout his visit by the club's president, Amaia Gorostiza; the Basque government's minister for economic development and infrastructure, Arantxa Tapia; the deputy minister for industry in the Basque Country, Javier Zarraonandia; the minister for economic promotion, rural areas and territorial equality at the Gipuzkoa provincial council, Ainhoa Aizpuru; and the mayor of Eibar, Miguel de los Toyos. The Japanese ambassador was given a first-hand insight into the club's philosophy as he was offered a tour of the club's facilities and talked to the various attendees.
During the course of the event, which was well attended by members of the Gipuzkoa Business Association (ADEGI), led by the organisation's general director, Jose Miguel Ayerza, SD Eibar was presented as an excellent ambassador in attracting Basque companies to Japan, as well as a tremendous tool via which to promote the Basque Country's brand outside of Spain, thanks to its unique model which brings together culture, tourism, food and industry.
