The Debabarrena Town Council, through its agency, Debegesa, has joined forces with the region's professional training centres to organisethe 3rd Debabarrena #ABIAN Employment & Professional Training Fair, which will run from 29-31 March on the playground at Eibar's Armeria Eskola. The initiative has received the support of the SD ,Eibar Foundation, the Basque government's department for employment and social politics, the regional Gipuzkoa government's department for economic advancement, rural areas and territorial equality, La Caixa bank's social outreach department and Laboral Kutxa, as well as the following Debabarrena-based companies:  Danobat Group, IK4-Tekniker, Egile, EPC, Alcorta, Etxe-Tar, Kirolbet, Urkotronik and AGME.

During the ceremony held to present the fair, which took place this morning at Ipurua, SD Eibar president, Amaia Gorostiza, reaffirmed the club's commitment to society: "As you can see, our efforts to reach out to all sectors of society through our Foundation continue apace, on this occasion, we've teamed up with the region's development agency to try to help to resolve one of the issues which is of most concern within our society, namely the search for employment.  Thanks to this fair, which opens next Wednesday and in which we'll of course be joined by Debegesa and the mayor of Debabarrena, over 70 employment opportunities will be on offer and it will represent a setting and a suitable venue in which candidates and companies can come together".

For his part, the director general of Debegesa, Juan Angel Balbas, declared that, "It's imperative that the unemployed members of the region's population boost their chances of securing employment and that they join the job market as soon as possible. Amongst their options, they have a wide range of professional training centres to choose from".

By sponsoring this event, the SD Eibar Foundation continues to work alongside institutions from within the local area and across the region with the aim of promoting sectors and activities which are not purely sports-related, with special importance placed on promoting projects related to the economy, culture, gender equality, the Basque language, or in this instance, youth labour integration.

The #ABIAN fair seeks to offer a meeting point between job seekers and local companies which are currently seeking to hire staff. Furthermore, the fair also aims to raise awareness amongst the unemployed members of the region's population about the varied training provision on offer, which presents job seekers with the opportunity to gain high-quality qualifications which are in line with the needs of the local job market.

To this end, Debegesa has surveyed local businesses to identify any roles which they are looking to fill immediately. At present, there are over 70 positions in different sectors which will be on offer at the fair. Current job seekers are able to apply for the roles and upload their CVs via Debegesa's website at debegesa.eus..
