SD Eibar condemn the violent incidents carried out against Armeros fans in Leganés and thank CD Leganés for their efforts in handling the complaint

SD Eibar strongly condemn the attacks carried out against a group of Armeros fans by various individuals - who have now been identified - prior to the kick-off of the game between CD Leganés and SD Eibar.

After receiving reports from several travelling supporters, the club promptly contacted its security department, who worked with their counterparts from CD Leganés and LaLiga to lodge a complaint with the relevant authorities. This quick, coordinated response and the submission of a report has enabled the perpetrators of the attacks on the supporters that travelled to Madrid to be identified.

SD Eibar wish to once again thank CD Leganés' security department for their efforts, as well as those of the law enforcement agencies, who worked to ensure that these event do not go unnoticed.

The club also wishes to publicly place on record its gratitude to all of the fans who give of their time and money to support their team and, in particular, to those supporters who reported these incidents to the club. This attitude is appreciated and is one which we would ask for supports to continue to display should there be a repeat of the incidents which took place on 18 December.
