SD Eibar chairwoman Amaia Gorostiza named as spokesperson on LaLiga's Delegate Commission
Only one woman has previously served on the organisation's governing body: Ana Urquijo (Athletic Club).
SD Eibar chairwoman, Amaia Gorostiza, has been named as a spokesperson on LaLiga's Delegate Commission, the league's governing and administrative body.
For the first time in the club's history, SD Eibar will take its place alongside a group of representative clubs, which this time round is made up of Eibar, CD Leganés and Deportivo Alavés.
Following on from the announcement regarding the appointment, SD Eibar's board voted that chairwoman, Amaia Gorostiza shall act as spokesperson, with managing director, Patricia Rodríguez taking up the role of deputy spokesperson.
To date, only one woman has previously served on the Delegate Commission: Ana Urquijo in the 2006-2007 season, during her spell as chairwoman of Athletic Club.
The recently formed Delegate Commission includes another female spokesperson, Valencia CF chairwoman, Layhoon Chan.
