SD Eibar & CA Osasuna supporters' groups renew acquaintances
The event took place prior to the kick-off of last night's match
Yesterday saw around 40 fans come together as CA Osasuna and SD Eibar supporters' groups met up in the hours leading up to the sides' clash. The headquarters of the home team's Federation of Supporters' Groups, located within El Sadar, played host to a gathering which was attended by representatives of the following official Eibar supporters' clubs: Peña Eibar-Gasteiz Elkartea, Peña Urko Taldea, Peña Manix – Mandiola and the Peña Eskozia la Brava.
Fans of the two teams exchanged gifts, scarves and shirts, with those in attendance wishing each other all the best for the remainder of the campaign. In the words of Mikel Porto, president of the Peña Urko Taldea supporters' group, "This is what the game is all about for us and we'll continue to meet up with fans from all of the clubs. We hope that they manage to stay in Primera because they're local to us and they're a club that we're fond of".
The Armeros' peñas are now working towards the organisation of their next event, which is to be staged on the away trip to Villarreal.
