SD Eibar and Tokyo Verdy have reached a strategic collaboration agreement for the next two years, with a view to mutually strengthening the clubs' sporting and commercial departments, as well as promoting their women's and eSports teams.
In the coming weeks, representatives from the Tokyo-based outfit are set to visit Eibar and will be on hand to see the Armeros begin their pre-season preparations, whilst the trip will also serve to see the clubs begin to work together and promote their mutual growth in the two markets.
This international link-up is the first such agreement to have been established between clubs competing in the two leagues. The partnership will help to further strengthen the Memorandum of Understanding signed last summer between LaLiga and the J.League, whilst also bringing Basque culture closer to the capital city and heart of Japan.
