Rubén Peña “The Eibar project suits me very well; it is effort, humility and a desire to grow”

Speaking to the press, the Sporting Director, Fran Garagarza, confirmed the satisfaction at having completed this signing “The case if Rúben is different, he will probably be the player we have looked at the most.  We watched him play for his last team but also in Guijuelo”. Garagarza explained his qualities “Peña has come at the right age, he’s young and hungry to do well. When I spoke to him he gave a commitment to come. We have been talking to him for a while because if we had waited to make the decision we wouldn’t have got him, due to Leganés being promoted to the First Division”.

Rubén Peña publicly expressed his gratitude for the trust placed in him “I greatly appreciate the confidence that they have placed in me. The Eibar project suits me very well; it is about effort, humility and a desire to grow”. 

Peña was clear about his reasons for coming to Eibar “I put my soul into helping Leganés win promotion to the First Division, but the idea was clear, the final details were added after winning the promotion to the first division. They made an effort to convince me to stay, but my cycle at Leganés had run its course and I wanted to be here”.
