REPORT: Sergio León debuts with a goal and a victory (1-0)

A day after signing, the striker from Córdoba scored the winning goal for the Armeros

Sergio León's debut for Eibar could not have been better, as he scored the winning goal against Mirandés two minutes after coming on and with practically his first touch.

The goal from the Armeros' new striker gave his team their third consecutive win, which cements their place at the top end of the table.

In the first half, the Armeros dominated the game and had the better chances, although Mirandés used their speed as a means of getting close to Luca's area and also had their chances.

The clearest chance before the break came in the 7th minute, with Mario Soriano's one-on-one with the Mirandés goalkeeper, but the latter sent the ball out for a corner.

Just after the start of the second half, in the 47th minute, Ríos Reina's left-footed shot from outside the area went just wide.

In the 54th minute, Luca showed his skill to deny Carlos Martín and come out on top of a very dangerous one-on-one. Two minutes later, Soriano had another chance to score the first goal with a shot from outside the area which Ramón turned behind for a corner.

In the final minutes, the home side's harassment intensified and the introduction of Sergio León in the 75th minute proved to be a turning point. Two minutes after entering the field, he took advantage of his first chance to score. Matheus crossed from the left and the Eibar striker chested the ball down before slotting home with his left foot to the delight of his teammates and the crowd.
