REPORT. Eibar get back to winning ways at Ipurua (2-0)

The Armeros take all three points thanks to goals from Sergio León and Corpas

Eibar got back to winning ways at Ipurua with a 2-0 victory over Villarreal B thanks to goals scored by Sergio León in the first half and Jose Corpas from the penalty spot in the second.

The team took control of the match midway through the first half and began to look dangerous around the opponent's area. A right-footed shot from close range from Mario Soriano in the 28th minute and a left-footed shot by Ager Aketxe from the edge of the area a minute later almost yielded the first goal.

The first goal did arrive when Matheus stole the ball inside the area and set up Sergio León, who scored with his left foot from inside the six-yard box.

Etxeberria's team looked to make it 2-0 at the start of the second half and came close in the 60th minute with a double chance for Mario and Tejero. Jon Bautista forced the chance by stealing the ball and marching down the pitch shortly after coming on for Sergio León.

Villarreal B tried to test Luca's goal, but they were met with a solid Eibar defense that did not concede any real chances.

The game was settled in the 73rd minute thanks to a penalty for a foul on Stoichkov, which Jose Corpas converted with a low, right-footed shot just inside the post.

The victory made it up to the Ipurua fans after two consecutive defeats at home and ensured that Eibar remained in the leading positions.
