REPORT: Eibar drop two points in the 90th minute against Levante (2-2)

The Armeros picked up a point against Levante as they continue their fight for promotion

Eibar dropped two points in the 90th minute after coming from behind to lead following Levante's early goal.

Levante had the game in their favour early on, with a goal scored by Dela from a handball penalty awarded at the behest of the VAR.

Levante were more comfortable and created danger with play between the lines. Luca was at his best to deny Dani Gómez one-on-one in the 26th minute.

Eibar gradually began to settle into the game and equalised in the 31st minute with a great right-footed shot from inside the area from Tejero, who capitalised on a rebound to score.

The first half ended with the bad news of an injury to Jon Bautista in the 45th minute, who was replaced by Jose Corpas.

In the second half, Eibar were able to read the game better and were more accurate in their pressing in front of the Levante defence.

In the 61st minute, Aketxe won the ball on the edge of the box, set up Tejero and he scored again with a right-footed shot.

Levante tried to recover from the blow inflicted by their opponents and went close to scoring in the 78th minute, but the goal was disallowed for offside.

Eibar had the game under control, but Bouldini headed the equaliser in the 90th minute and Eibar were forced to play stoppage time with a player down after Corpas was sent off for a double caution.

The draw leaves a bittersweet taste as Eibar came very close to earning three points that would have put them in the direct promotion places.
