A remarkable comeback in Zaragoza to get back to winning ways (2-3)

Eibar staged a great comeback on their visit to La Romareda. The Armeros overcame a 2-0 half-time deficit to beat Real Zaragoza 2-3.

Despite a very even start to the game, as the minutes ticked by, Eibar took control of the game and it was the Armeros who had the clearest chances of the first half.

Corpas had the first chance after an assist from Tejero, but the Armeros' shot from inside the area was blocked by the home side's backline. Minutes later, the home team’s goalkeeper prevented Eibar's first goal after a great save to stop Stoichkov's shot, a shot that was going into the top corner of the net.

Joseba Etxeberria's side continued to press forward, but it was the home side who took the lead on one of the few clear-cut chances they had in the first half. Maikel's shot from the centre of the area found the net and Real Zaragoza took the lead. On the stroke of half-time, the locals widened the gap through Jaume Grau to make it 2-0 at the end of the first half.

After the restart, the Armeros tried to turn the scoreboard around. As a result of their persistence, Eibar's first goal came. Bautista scored to make it 2-1 after a pass from Stoichkov.

Five minutes later, it was Stoichkov who scored the equaliser, this time after a great play by Bautista. Eibar continued to try and try again in a bid to seal the comeback win, and they did just that.

In the end, it was a superb free-kick goal by Aketxe which made the final score 2-3 to complete the comeback and seal the three points.
