Ramis: We want to go all out in every game & open up a gap on the teams at the bottom

The Eibar stopper is expecting an "intense" encounter against "very tough" opposition

Speaking to the press gathered at Atxabalpe, Iván Ramis declared that the Armeros' philosophy is "to go all out in every game and open up a gap on the teams at the bottom".

The Eibar central defender stated that the 1-0 away triumph in the league opener against Málaga has created "good vibes". "Right throughout pre-season we worked to achieve that match tempo and the intensity that we ended last season with. They really were three very important points".

"You're always grateful whenever you're able to pick up as many points as early into the season as possible, because it makes the second half of the campaign more relaxed. Let's hope that this is the way things pan out for us. We'll be going out and playing with the same aggression that Eibar teams always have".

"The club's first target is to retain our top-flight status. As long as you keep on collecting points, you can then aspire to other thing but we must be aware that, first and foremost, we have to secure our survival.

In reference to Sunday's clash against Athletic at Ipurua, Ramis warned "We face a very difficult game against really tough opposition". "Let's hope that things go well for us, that it's a high-intensity affair, that we're able to manage the game and that the three points stay at home".
