Poor display sees Armeras slip to 1-0 home reverse
Nuestra Señora de Belén, who are fighting to ward off the threat of relegation, showed greater intensity than the hosts
SD Eibar Women succumbed to a 1-0 defeat at the hands of relegation-threatened Nuestra Señora de Belén at Unbe on a bad day at the office for the Armeras.
The home side made a fine start, but their dominance lasted for no more than the opening 10 minutes. From then on, the Burgo-based outfit showed far greater intensity and duly got their noses in front on 37 minutes.
After the restart, Eibar pinned the visitors' back into their box and began to carve out some openings, the clearest of which saw a towering Olatz Areitio header shave the crossbar.
This reverse means that the Armeras drop down to seventh, whilst their hopes of securing a top-five finish still remain intact.
