Peru Nolaskoain: four more years of the project

The versatile footballer from Zumaya renews until 2030 and consolidates his role as one of the key figures in the Armero dressing room.

There are no reactions yet. Be the first!

There are signings that are celebrated, despite their brevity. And there are returns that build a future. Peru Nolaskoain returned to SD Eibar in January 2024 knowing exactly what he had in his hands. Now he extends his contract until 2030. Four more years for a player who is already part of the armero DNA.

Sociedad Deportiva Eibar and Peru Nolaskoain have reached an agreement by which the versatile player from Zumaia will continue wearing the blue and red jersey until June 2030.

From Zumaia to Ipurua: the way back

Peru Nolaskoain Esnal (Zumaia, 1998) entered professional football through the front door. After training at Zumaiako FT, Antiguoko KE, and Athletic Club, he debuted in the First Division on August 20, 2018, wearing the red and white jersey against CD Leganés at San Mamés. That day, he not only played. He scored the first goal of the match in the 27th minute. A start that promised more than what that project in Bilbao ultimately delivered.

Then came loans to RC Deportivo and SD Amorebieta before joining SD Eibar for the first time in the 2022/23 season. He was a regular starter. He understood the club. He returned to Athletic until January 2024, but the bond with Ipurua was already built. When he came back, this time permanently, it wasn’t as a winter reinforcement. It was as someone returning home.

Numbers that build

Since then, Peru has accumulated 120 matches with SD Eibar, 90 as a starter, 10 goals, and more than 8,200 minutes defending the armero jersey. Numbers that explain continuity. But above all, numbers that explain presence, solidity, and commitment. In two stages separated by just a few months, Peru has become one of the heavyweights in the locker room. Not just for what he does on the field. Also for what he represents.

This season, he continues to be a key piece in the heart of the defense, contributing experience, aerial play, and that ability to read the game that only comes with years and experience. A midfielder converted into a central defender who, thanks to the role models he works with every day, accepts and understands what it means to compete wearing the Eibar jersey.

All in all, four more years for a player who not only knows the club but has made it part of his own, who understands what the club is and forms part of the backbone of any team. A player who came, had to leave, returned, and now extends his contract to establish himself as one of the key figures in Eibar’s recent history.

Zorionak eta aurrera, Peru. Until 2030.
