Penya Berria Ipurua supporters' club adds its name to SD Eibar's official fan groups

The group, which is based in Rubí, Barcelona, becomes the club's 34th official supporters' club

Whilst far from being a recently formed group, the  Penya (supporters' club in Catalan) Berria Ipurua , which was launched in December 1999 to mark the team's away fixture against UE LLeida, has now become the latest SD Eibar's official supporters' club. In the words of its president, Joakim Lladó, the Penya Berria Ipurua was one of the first such groups to show its support for Eibar, with the organisation having displayed unwavering devotion to the Armeros since its inauguration and forming a close relationship with the well-known Peña Eskozia la Brava.

Despite the passing of the years, the club's "Berria" spirit remains very much intact, with the group's new headquarters in Rubí featuring many newspaper cuttings of the club's spell in Segunda Division.

The organisation currently boasts around 10 Catalan members, who share a hearty devotion to Eibar. During their unveiling as an official supporters' group, the Penya Berria Ipurua presented the club with a file featuring a photo taken in Tarragona with the club's current boss, José Luis Mendilibar and deceased former president, Jaime Barriuso.
