Official opening of the Peña Eibar Fründe Germany in Cologne
The group already has 16 followers of the gunsmiths
The Eibar Fründe (friends) German supporters’ club, located in the “Hammond Bar” in Cologne, yesterday celebrated its official inauguration and the election of its first Board of Directors.
The Eibar Fründe (Fründe means friends in the dialect of Cologne) Supporters’ club was originally created by a small groups of friends, but two months ago the group decided to allow new people to join and has now expanded to sixteen members.
At yesterday’s meeting, with sandwiches and beer on hand, the attendees defined what activities they will be undertaking to support and raise awareness of Sociedad Deportiva Eibar in Germany.
A total of nine members of the “peña” have been to a game at Ipurua over the course of the last fifteen years and “for this reason it is very clear to us: we will support S.D. Eibar wherever it is” although “obviously we hope that this is always in the First Division”.
The Board of Directors of the supporters’ club has the following positions:
