New signing José Angel 'Cote' unveiled

The Asturian, who has signed a deal until 2020, expressed his excitement at the move

José Angel 'Cote' was today unveiled as an SD Eibar player. The 27-year-old Asturian was accompanied at his unveiling by the club's vice-president of football operations, José María Arrizabalaga, and the Armeros' director of football, Fran Garagarza.

Cote, who will wear the number 15 shirt, spoke of his excitment as he embarks on this new chapter in his career, revealing that "despite having several offers on the table, the project here at Eibar appealed to me right from the off". "I'm a man of my word, Eibar expressed their interest in me a long time ago and I was in no doubt that I wanted to come here".

Cote, who took his first steps in the game at Sporting Gijón's Mareo academy, boasts strong experience at the highest level. In reference to Cote's playing style, Garagarza noted that "he's a very attack-minded left-back.  He's really comfortable in the opposition's half and has the ability to put in dangerous crosses".

Meanwhile, Arrizabalaga thanked Cote for chosing Eibar "from amongst the many offers you received".
