Mendilibar & Enrich scoop LaLiga Santander awards for February
The Armeros' coach and forward picked up the awards for the second month of the calendar year
José Luis Mendilibar and Sergi Enrich have been named LaLiga Santander Manager and Player of the Month for February.
Mendilibarar has been crownedLaLiga Santander Manager of the Monthon the back of the fine run of results achieved by his SD Eibar side during the course of the last month.
This accolade,which is awarded bySantander,the competition's main sponsor, and voted for by the LaLiga.es writers - was presented by Mr Iker Andicoechea Larragán, the bank's director for Alava and Gipuzkoa.
Three comprehensive victories , including an away success at Valencia CF (4-0) and home triumphs over Granada CF (4-0) and Málaga CF (3-0), one draw and just one defeat to their name from their five outings during February has propelled Mendilibar's charges up to the verge of the European spots. During this run of fixtures, Eibar have registered 13 goals and conceded just four times.
The other nominees for the accolade were FC Barcelona's Luis Enrique and Sevilla FC head coach, Jorge Sampaoli.
As for the Player of the Month award, Sergi Enrich is one of the division's most in-form players and represents one of the major architects behind Eibar's excellent recent run. The Armeros' hitman found the net four times in five games during February, with three of those efforts coming in Eibar victories. Enrich's goalscoring instincts have seen the sharpshooter, who currently tops the team's scoring charts, become a key member in Mendilibar's side.

Those taking their places alongside Enrich on the shortlist for February's award were fellow strikers, Lionel Messi (FC Barcelona) and Fernando Torres (Atlético Madrid).
