Mendilibar: I want to see that aggressive Eibar side that we were when we were doing well

The Armeros' boss has named a 19-man squad featuring all of the players available to him and youth-team product Imanol Sarriegi

Speaking in the run-up to tomorrow night's clash against Real Betis (21:00 CET), José Luis Mendilibar insisted that he wants to see "that aggressive Eibar side that we were when we were doing well and for the players to trust in doing the things that worked for us in the past two seasons".

Mendilibar has named a 19-man squad including all of the players currently available to him, whilst he has also drafted in Imanol Sarriegi from the feeder team. The full squad list is as follows:  Dmitrovic, Riesgo, Capa, Arbilla, Lombán, Gálvez, Paulo, Juncà, Cote, Dani García, Escalante, Jordán, Sarriegi, Alejo, Rubén Peña, Bebé, Inui, Charles, Kike García and Sergi Enrich.

The Armeros' boss has called on his charges not to lose their "brave streak". "I don't want us to be a shy team that waits to see what happens, I want us to stand up and be counted and go all out from the off, whilst always keeping our heads".

"We can't go out like headless chickens because they've got some good players in attacking areas that are capable of scoring from nothing and it's tough for us to come from behind in games. It'll be important that we're strong defensively, so as to allow us to offer a greater threat when we attack".

The Eibar coach went on to stress that keeping a clean sheet will be key, because not only will it give the side a better chance of claiming victory, but it will also serve to boost the players' morale.
