Luca Zidane: "We're convinced that we're going to have a good run of form”
The Eibar goalkeeper stresses the importance of "defensive solidity and keeping a clean sheet"
Luca Zidane stated that "we're convinced that we're now going to have a good run of form like we've had in the middle part of the season".
Speaking at a press conference following Wednesday’s training session at Ipurua, the Eibar goalkeeper stressed the importance of having "defensive solidity and keeping a clean sheet" because "we have a lot of attacking strengths and we know that we're a team that generates a lot in attack".
LUCA ZIDANE PRESS CONFERENCE QUOTES
“The team had gone a few games without a win and we’ve come back with a win which is a good way to start the year. Now we’re convinced that we’ll have a good run of form like we’ve had in the middle part of the season, starting with three points this weekend.”
“We’re very happy with the win and we had a good game and with a good feeling, keeping a clean sheet and creating a lot in attack. Now we want to do that away from home.”
“Our experience in this division shows us that there’s a high level of competition and the difference between coming top or bottom isn’t that big, so we need to keep adding three points.”
“This shows the quality of the division, every team tries to get the best out of their squad to get as many points as possible.”
“Huesca is a difficult place to go and win. They are in need just as much as we are, so we hope to go and come back with three points.”
“It’s always good to keep a clean sheet. I think we need to try to have defensive solidity and keep a clean sheet in every game which is fundamental in this division. We have a lot of attacking strengths and we know that we're a team that generates a lot in attack.”
“We need to be more solid in defence and give less away to the opposition. If we keep clean sheets, we know we’ll have chances because we create a lot in attack.”
“Every team looks out for their own objectives. There’s very little difference in the top eight or 10 in this division, so we need the win as much as Huesca.”
“I’m getting lots of minutes, I’m feeling good, and I hope I can continue to help the team.”
“I like to be involved in attacking play, and it’s true that defensively we leave a lot of space with a high line because we attack with a lot of players and take on risks. Sometimes conceding goals is horrible for a goalkeeper, it always is, but that’s the risk we take.”
