Luca: "It's incredible to feel the affection of our fans at every game"

The Eibar goalkeeper hopes to round off the week of his renewal until 2026 with a win

Luca Zidane has assured that it is "incredible to feel the affection of the fans in every game" and that he hopes "that it continues like this in the remaining 10 games because we're going to need it".

Speaking at a press conference after Thursday’s training session at Atxabalpe, the Eibar goalkeeper said that he hopes to add  "a win on Sunday" to the week in which he has renewed his contract until 2026.

FANS

"Being on the pitch and feeling the fans' encouragement whether things go well or badly helps us a great deal and let's hope that this will be the case on Sunday and in the remaining games at Ipurua as well."

"It is key and it helps us a lot to see all the people who come to support us, whether it is in Tenerife, in all the stadiums. That they come to support us and feel the affection of the fans in every match is incredible and I hope it continues like this in these 10 matches, which we're going to need."

10 FINALS

"The games are 90 minutes and we have to be involved at all times, no matter what happens. When we have the score against us, we are more united than ever, we need to be positive and think among ourselves that we can get the result."

"I'm not one to look too much at the standings, we have to take it one game at a time. There are 10 finals left and we have to fight until the end. You can see in other years that the fight goes on until the last day. We are focused on the next match on Sunday, which is the most important thing."

"The most beautiful and important part of the season remains. It will be decided in these ten matches, we must not look at the standings, but match by match, try to get the three points this Sunday and not think about later."

ANDORRA

"They are a team that plays a lot from the back, they like to have the ball. It's going to be a nice and complicated match. With the ball they make all teams suffer, they play well and have clear ideas. We are going to try to counteract that and I hope it goes well on Sunday."

CONTRACT RENEWAL

"It would be nice to celebrate the renewal with a victory. The solidity of the team, the work done by the 10 outfield players is fundamental to be able to keep a clean sheet. The first objective of the team is to keep a clean sheet because we are always going to have chances."

"I'm happy, I hope it will be like that until the end of the season to help the team, but that's the work of the whole team. The solidity that the team has, the commitment of the team defensively is incredible and we have to continue like this to keep those clean sheets."

POSITIVE FORM

"To get five consecutive wins in this league is very complicated because all the matches are difficult and important because the level is very high. We are happy with that and hopefully more victories will come and that's what we are going to try to do on Sunday."

"The confidence in the group has to be there always, whether we lose or win. That's the key, even if difficult moments come, which we're sure they will, we have to be united. We are in a good moment right now and we have to take advantage of it and move forward."
