Gálvez: I chose Eibar because they put 200% effort into bringing me here
The Granada-born defender is set to make his debut for the Armeros in this evening's game against Cologne
Alejandro Gálvez, who has signed a deal with SD Eibar until 2019, has revealed that he chose to join the Armeros despite having offers from elsewhere, "because this is the club that put 200% effort into bringing me here".
Speaking to SD Eibar's website, Gálvez highlighted how the club's director of football, Fran Garagarza "showed his interest in me right from day one".
"This is an exciting challenge for me to come and play in the best league in the world after having spent two years in the Bundesliga. I'm really up for it and it's a reward for me to be returning and I thank Eibar for making it possible. I know that I've made the right decision. I hope to repay the club with lots of hard work out on the pitch".
Gálvez also had some encouraging words for the Eibar faithful: "We're going to have a great season, they can be sure of that, we'll repay them with plenty of effort and I'm certain that it's going to be a very special year".
Gálvez is set to make his Eibar bow in this evening's friendly fixture against Cologne at Kitzbühel (18:00 CET), whilst his official unveiling is set to take place on Monday 8 August at Ipurua.
