Even encounter sees SD Eibar Women's first team claim a point

The Armeras and Ardoi served up a 1-1 stalemate

The SD Eibar Women's first team secured a 1-1 draw against Ardoi in what was a hard-fought and even encounter.

The Navarrans began the game on the front foot and enjoyed host of goalscoring opportunities. Ainara Juaristi, better known as Anega, ensured that Eibar didn't fall behind with a goalline clearance, before Ardoi came a whisker away from taking the lead when they rattled the woodwork.

Gradually the Armeras began to gain a foothold in the game as they fashioned several chances. First up, Melani Concepcion came close with a free-kick, before Irati sent the ball wide of the upright in a one-on-one, whilst Sara Tazo fired straight at the goalkeeper when well placed.

The second half followed a similar script and Ardoi made the breakthrough from a corner when, in an effort to clear the danger, an Eibar defender contrived to turn the ball into their own net.

Félix Recio turned to his bench and handed debuts to Cadete de Honor duo Uxue and Irati Etxeberria.

Eibar continued to probe and found an equaliser when Haizea swung a corner over to the back post, where Ainhoa Alonso was on hand to fire the ball home and draw her side level.

The Armeras pushed forward in search of all three points but ultimately failed to find a winner.
