Eibar draw 1-1 with Athletic at Las Llanas

Athletic Club and Eibar have drawn 1-1 in a friendly match played at the municipal stadium of Las Llanas, in Sestao.

Mario Soriano's first goal as an Eibar player was enough to level the scoreline after Athletic took the lead,

The team from Bilbao came out with the intention of taking control of the match, and they were in control in the first few minutes. As a result of their dominance, they got the first goal in the 19th minute, with a pass from Imanol from the left that Martón headed into the net.

After the goal, possession became more balanced and Eibar gained ground. The threat came down the flanks, especially on the left, with Yahnis Rahmani and Arbilla combining to play. A move between the two ended with Arbilla's pass into the box that found its way to the feet of Mario Soriano, who dribbled past an opponent and scored with a right-footed shot, after the ball had touched an Athletic defender.

In the second half, it was Athletic who took the initiative and had the best chances to win the match.

On the Armeros' side, the clearest chance came in the 80th minute, with a counterattack after a very good recovery by Juan Carlos Arana, whose shot after a cutback was cleared by Agirrezabala.
