The Juvenil A confirms its growth in the División de Honor.
The performance improvement, the impact of Areitio, and the evolution of the group strengthen the role of the team within the academy structure.
SD Eibar's Juvenil A team finished the season in fifth position in Group II of the División de Honor, achieving a season of sustained growth and consolidation in the upper part of the category.
The team, which has made consistency its greatest strength throughout the season, ended with 52 points, after a record of 15 wins, 7 draws, and 8 losses, with 69 goals scored and 55 conceded (+14). This performance allowed them to open a ten-point gap over the sixth-placed team, CA Osasuna, and finish just four points behind fourth place, occupied by Real Sociedad.
Beyond the standings, the key takeaway lies in their progress. The team has clearly improved its records from recent seasons, surpassing the 38 points of the previous season and the 43 points of the 2023/24 campaign, confirming real progress within a category that many consider the gateway to professional football.
Performance at Areitio, one of the intangibles of the season, has been one of the pillars of their growth. At home, they earned 28 points, with 8 wins, 4 draws, and only 3 losses, solidifying the field as a favorable competitive environment. Away from home, the team maintained its level (24 points, with 7 wins, 3 draws, and 5 losses), sustaining a crucial balance to remain in the upper positions throughout the season.
The season was also marked by changes on the bench. Asier Riesgo led the team for most of the season until his promotion to Eibar C, a move that strengthens the internal connection within the structure. In the final stretch, Jon Ituarte, the assistant coach, took over the team's management, ensuring continuity in the work being done.
The final balance leaves a clear message: Juvenil A not only competed but also took a step forward. In a category where consistency makes the difference, the team has managed to establish itself, grow, and strengthen its role in the development of the youth academy.
