Eibar fall to defeat in league opener against Levante Las Planas

Eibar’s women’s team lost to Levante Las Planas in their first league game following their promotion into Liga F. Las Armeras’ season opener at Ipurua ended in a 2-1 defeat, with the visitors grabbing the winning goal in stoppage time.

Towards the end of the first half, Las Armeras imposed their game. Still, a great save by Miralles prevented a Levante Las Planas goal right at the end of the first half. That meant it remained goalless at the break.

Levante Las Planas then opened the scoring in the 56th minute with a penalty that Miralles couldn’t do anything about.

As the second half continued, Las Armeras had two clear-cut chances which they were unable to convert into goals until, with the clock ticking onwards, Ane Campos levelled the scores in the 86th minute.

Eibar came close to ending the opening day of the league campaign with a draw, but a goal in the fourth minute of stoppage time from the opposition prevented Eibar from taking a point from their league opener.
