Eibar convey a message of unity on all fronts ahead of the playoffs

A press conference held by the president, sporting director, head coach and captain

Eibar have conveyed a message of unity on all fronts ahead of the promotion playoffs during a joint press conference at Ipurua.

The president, Amaia Gorostiza, the sporting director, Cesar Palacios, head coach, Gaizka Garitano, and captain, Anaitz Arbilla, all participated in the press conference.

“We are representing the four parts of the club: The administration, sporting area, coaching team and the squad, to say that, despite the disappointment of not being able to go up automatically, we believe and we know that we can achieve promotion. We have a great group that has grown in adversity. They have shown and will continue to show it.

“We believe in this group, and I don’t want the effort to be questioned, the delivery and commitment of this team. We have no doubts. We send support to everyone, the fans, the communications professionals, to everyone in general, who has helped what the team has done up to now, and now we have a great opportunity that we are going to take on with the greatest hope.”

“We would like to demonstrate the togetherness of the unity that exists within the club, and make it clear we are going into this situation all together, all united, to show everyone the confidence that we have in the team and the coaching staff. We want to show we are strong and hopeful over this great opportunity that we now have at our door in playing in a promotion playoff. We continue as one, we remain alive and we have faith that we are going to achieve it.”

“We want to transmit a message of unity and strength. They can leave us for dead, but we are alive and fighting. We have taken tough blows, we have had the opportunity to go up automatically and it has escaped. If we had that option it’s because we have searched for it. Now we have an option that remains intact, to be able to achieve promotion. There is a playoff, and that is an incredible experience, and as a club, as a team, as a collective, we have to go into it with the greatest hope of the world and with all the strength, believing in this group.”

“I have to say thank you to the fans for all of their support during the season, for how they have traveled with us. I also appreciate the coaching staff and the squad because they have put in a tremendous effort. At the moment, we have 25% chance and we have to fight for it, to believe in the work until we have the reward. After the blow we have taken, the work of everyone is what makes it possible, and we will give everything in the five remaining games.”

“What I want to say is thank you because we have felt during the whole season, in all of the games, the support of the fans. We still have an opportunity to go up, we have the maximum hope and we are united. I believe that we can achieve it between us. It’s in our hands and we will try until the end.”

“The Huesca game is very important for many reasons, not just for position, but over all, to end the bad run and end the league season with a win.”

“We are more together than ever, and we will continue until the end. We really believe in the objective, and in how we can achieve it. We come into this playoff with hope. We have seen the type of atmosphere that we have with our fans in all of the games, and we hope that they remain with us until the end. This team deserves it, and we will work for it.

“We have options, we are alive and that is the message we want to send. We are all together in this. We believe in the promotion and we will fight until the end. We hope to win the game this weekend and arrive in the playoffs in high spirits.”
