Eibar’s Cerebral Palsy football team is providing 5 of the 14 members of the Spanish national team that will participate from June 2 to 10 in Sardinia (Italy) in the European 7-a-side soccer championship for people with cerebral palsy and acquired brain damage.

The Armeros players called up are Borja Pombo, Martín Ruiz, Yerik Martínez, David Gámiz and Víctor Varea.

The list drawn up by coach Jorge Peleteiro has been released today by the Spanish Sports Federation for People with Cerebral Palsy and Acquired Brain Injury.

The selected players will take part in a training camp from May 11 to 14 in Alicante to finalise preparations for the tournament. In the group stage, the team will play against England (June 2), Holland (June 4) and Italy (June 6).

Eibar was recently proclaimed undefeated champion of the National 7-a-side soccer league for people with cerebral palsy and acquired brain damage.
